Opera announces a private cryptocurrency browser

Yes, you read that right. Given the recent popularity of the cryptocurrency, the blockchain, and Web3, Opera felt the need to create a custom browser for it.

Opera has so far integrated several blockchains, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, Celo and Nervos, to help build the ecosystem. The company has also announced partnerships with Handshake, NEAR, Polygon and Solana.

A notable feature of the browser is that it has a local encryption wallet. This way, you can log in to dApps or access your cryptocurrency from a browser without installing an additional browser extension. It also includes a wallet selection tool for third-party wallets, such as Opera, Metamask.

In the browser, you get a Crypto Corner feature that highlights the latest blockchain news, upcoming weather forecasts, industry events, NFTs, cryptographic communities, educational content, podcasts, videos, cryptocurrency pricing, and market sentiment.

Opera’s free built-in VPN and ad and tracker blocker will also be available in this encryption browser. There is even a secure clipboard that ensures that third party applications do not change your wallet address or access sensitive data. Namely, Opera says that an open source will soon be used for the browser and safe.
